A Humpback Whale with a baby was just cruising by fairly close to shore when we stopped at Halona Blowhole only to get a glimpse of a shot. Nice bonus.

A pod of at least 50 animals were bowriding the Island Spirit (Wild Side Specialty Tours http://sailhawaii.com/index.html) at Nanakuli Beach Park last Thursday, and not just the babies were playfully spinning and leaping their way to Pokai Bay.
Humpback Whales were spotted off Kauai already several weeks ago. Today, during a sail with Wild Side Specialty Tours http://sailhawaii.com/index.html along the West Coast of Oahu, we spotted a couple of Humpback Whales. They surfaced unexpectedly about 100 ft behind our catamaran, near Makaha. It was a nice bonus to the fabulous swim with Spinner Dolphins that followed.
